I am so sorry friends and family!

Tyler enjoying the sled....with Kiki right behind him.

I went to post and discovered that I hadn't in almost a month, SORRY!

We spent a wonderful weekend with the Marinos in Tahoe. We went to ski and sled with the kids and ended up enjoying an ice cream cone in the glorious sunshine.

We did get to sled a little bit (very little) since most of the snow was gone. Lyssa didn't really care for the sledding the first few times that Daddy took her down. We then discovered why. He was putting his feet in the snow to slow them down a bit and all the snow was hitting her face. :( After we fixed that, Lyssa and Daddy went fast and had a blast!

My camera died and the Marinos haven't sent me the one off their camera (hint hint).

Weekend with the Cox family

Even Kiki was able to play!

Lyssa is upset in the picture to the left because she thinks Jackie is pushing her off. Jackie is only wanted to hug her. :(

We had the pleasure of having the Cox kids both last weekend and this weekend. Here are some pictures of the kids...

Posing for the camera

She looks so different to me when she is fully smiling, like cheesy smiling. However she does enjoy smiling for the camera! It has been awhile since she has busted out the side posing.
Jackie gave her some pink boots that she loves and I wished I had taken one of her in the boots. She literally wants and does wear them everywhere, well unless I hide them.

Congratulations Tyler!

Tyler was accepted into Valley Christian Middle School today. We are so very proud of him and

what he has accomplished. WOO HOO! He will begin his career at Valley in August and will continue till he graduates from high school.

Radio Park

Spending the afternoon with our good friend Lyle and her mom, Melissa. Lyssa and Lyle are in the same class at Church and will be starting preschool in the same class in August.
Lyle pushing Lyssa in the swing. It was so cute!

6 pretties!

This is the answer to my morning question as to how she wanted her hair. Her usual response is "One purple pretty right here!" and she points to the back of her head. But not today! She wanted six!

Cute pics of the kids

A trip to Target

Lyssa's pictures are a bit blury because she was actually in motion when we took the picture.

No trip to Target would be complete without visiting and riding the neigh neighs. This has been a tradition since we accidently showed her what is right outside the Target door. Finally, after 8 months of watching Alyssa ride the neigh neighs, Amelia finally wanted to try it.

Mommy's girl!

I think the shirt says it all, don't you think?

Spending the day with the girls.....

We start out the morning with breakfast and then we move right into exercise! A brisk walk around the block looking for just the right rock and anything else that strikes her fancy.
The girls and their favorite pasttime while I am cooking their meals. They sure do love to color! Lyssa taking time out to pose!

Hanging out with Kiki

It actually looks like Kiki is smiling! Unfortunately, we all know how 'in your face' Alyssa can be with her so we know she is not loving it.

Tyler's big news...

Tyler tested at Valley Christian yesterday and we are really proud of him. The test was almost 4 hours and covered every subject but science. We will receive the results on February 26th and the interim he will be required to interview alone, with a few different people at Valley. Rob will be scheduling mock interviews with some of his colleagues at work to prepare for it.

Wish him luck!

two lumps of sugar please

Alyssa received a tea set from my father for Christmas and we often find ourselves having afternoon tea! It will be a sad day in our world when she stops wanting to have tea parties with us so we take advantage of it....several times a day. : )

She will ask if we want creamer and sugar and then tells us that the tea is hot so we have to blow. She will even count out the lumps of sugar.

Getting excited to have tea with both Grams and Grandma next month!

Chores can be fun...

Raking leaves with a puppy and a two year old is lots of fun!!

The weather was so cold that Alyssa's ears were red. She is now ready
for the snow!!
Alyssa is actually trying to push Tyler and Kiki in the wheelbarrow in the picture above.

Where is Dad you ask? Watching the game... He wishes! He is mowing the backyard.

Woo hoo!

We got our camera back. : )

Happy New Year!

One of my resolutions is to keep this updated. So far, I have failed thanks to my dear hubby who left my camera at the New Year's Eve party.

We have MOPS tomorrow and she said that she will bring it.

On another note, Rob is excited because Tyler got up on his own today, took a shower, did his hair, and made lunch without being asked. Oh, and ate breakfast.

He is excited for the New Year. : ) We all are and we hope you all have a wonderful beginning.

Day off with the kids..

and where we do we go? Gymboree!! We are also celebrating her 27 month birthday. :) I blew dry my hair straight this morning and Lyssa wanted her hair done too. She looks completely different. Rob did not like it. :(

Caught Tyler by surprise playing in the big tunnel....can't wait for his friends to see this in 5 years!

Christmas Day!!!

Santa brought Lyssa a kitchen, needs 14 batteries. he forgot the batteries. We decided that we would not put the batteries in until she grew bored of it. So far, she has mastered making Mommy and Daddy coffee with creamer, waffles, pizza, and 'dough' which is what Mommy says when we are making cookies. Only a matter of time when she discovers that dough beomes cookies.
Alyssa opening up her present from Noelle. Pink heart earrings which she will actually wear on her 3rd birthday.

Kids had a wonderful time opening up their presents. Lyssa thoroughly enjoyed the unwrapping of gifts, even those that were not her own. :)
